I have had my nipples pierced for 5 years and now have recently been experiencing itchy nipples, can anybody tell me why?

I don't think its anything to do with the piercings. Unless you have somehow gotten them infected without noticing and now they are in the healing stages. More than likely irritation from your bra, moisturise them a lot, think about getting some nipple cream for nursing mothers. If this doesnt sort it out think about changing your washing powder.
