A fatal dose of any drug depends on many things such as the patients body weight, liver function, whether they have an empty stomach and of course if they take it with alcohol. There are many reputable scholarly sites where the information is freely available. I found the one I linked to purely by googling 'lethal dose of prozac'.

I know you're fine max,you don't come across as suicidal to me. x
I have always been interested in the effect of various drugs on the body as my daughter was prescribed anti depressants and anti psychotic drugs at the age of 16 and I wanted to ensure they were relatively safe. My niece also trained to be a chemist so she and I used to talk about it a lot.

All drugs have an LD50 ( a dose at which it would be lethal to 50% of the population and at sufficient doses above the LD50 everyone)
Your doctor could see you every day but without performing tests or watching you swallow the medication (clearly impractical) they would not know if you'd been taking them. Its down to patient compliance an element of trust.
