And 18mths down the line still no further forward . just felt the biggest blob ever fall out of me on the bathroom floor couldnt even get to the toilet on time . sent home fom work today flooded right through only there an hour and all i had to do was put my hand on the outside of my trousers and it was covered in blood . why cant the doctors get me to the hospital put me asleep and have a look then we may have some answers instead of wasting my money on all these precriptions for pills that are just trying to stop the bleeding which isnt helping we need to know where its coming from and why ! but what makesme mad genuine ppl like us with problems have to wait year but if a druggie went to the doctor and said he wanted to go rehab he'd proberly go that day !

I had my eyes opened to what the hardworking doctors and nurses have to put up with during many admissions to hospital for problems related to asthma/emphysema. I also read two books recently one called 'Blood,Sweat and Tea' by Tom Reynolds and the other is called 'In Stitches' by Nick Edwards. Both very good books and gave me (an outsider) an insight into the true workings of the NHS. I have a great deal of respect for the medical profession.
Its nice to here that daffy654 sadly as a nation in general we appear to have an innnate ability to complain well..lol
We complain all the time and even when we are unwell we complain about the people who are trying their best for us.
I think leeandjoanne made a comment about the wait in A&E (which I admit is a long time) I'm not sure who the complaint was levelled at but laughably it was most likely at the staff who work there! Can't recall ever seeing an A&E nurse or SHO sat around doing nothing....
Someone made a comment about doctors being prats, yes as in any profession there are a minority that tarnish it. However I think its best left to the GMC to decide.

I was at my local ENT clinic on friday for a check-up after a septoplasty, when I told the doctor I was grateful for what they had done for me the poor guy nearly fell off his chair.I have since bought a card for them and another for the ward staff to thank them and will be posting them both tomorrow. I think the majority of doctors and nurses and all other NHS workers are brilliant and are doing a great job under almost impossible conditions. As you said MrXLA there are prats in all professions but i've been lucky not to meet any NHS ones yet.lol
Dear Lee and Joanne.
You MUST go to A & E, and demand they send you to CDU (Clinical Decisions Unit) straight away ! You say that when you went to A & E with your hubby the other day you had to wait 3.5 hours. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WAITING FOR THIS PROBLEM to be sorted out.
Diazapam is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !
I have spent a career in the NHS (and got out a couple of years ago because it was SOUL DESTROYING), if anyone ever rang me with an on-going problem, quite WRONGLY (by NHS rules) I advised them to go to A&E.,
Personally, I used to bleed as heavy as you explain. Someone told me it would be different when I had children. WRONG - IT GOT WORSE.
You NEED A D & C sweetheart and THEN a Mirena Coil fitted by the sounds of it.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go to A & E RIGHT AWAY and dont leave until you are SATISFIED.
This may very well be frustrating for you, I was frustrated too. Another example, (I have recently had Gastric Band Surgery) and I was vomiting half pints of blood. I went to A & E, waited 6 hours on a Sunday, they sent me BACK to my GP, I went back to my GP who sent me RIGHT BACK to CDU (CDU bypasses A & E) and within 5 minutes of getting there I was having a blood transfusion and was hospitalised for a week.
Sweetheart, let me reiterate my concern for you. SOD WORK TOMORROW, THE COMPANY WILL NOT CLOSE DOWN BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT THERE.
Take Care and let us know how you get on.
Best Wishes.
