Why do tattoos never grow out of the skin and stay forever? I thought skin was always regenerating itself as it wears away .

I think it's to do with depth. I know that some tatoos that were done DIY by some old members of my family did fade a bit (went a bit blue/green) as they became old.

Interesting though.... will keep my eye on this thread for right answer!
they do fade tho, some people have the colour put back into them, I suppose they do shed a bit
would you say the discolour is sun damage lol, like on fabrics
it could be karen but not in my case, im in freezin scotland and havent sunbathed for 7 years lol
