swollen finger
2 Answers
yesterday i went snow boarding with a few friends but it wasn't on real snow, it was like these bristle things. Anyway i was going quite fast but then i fell. My finger got caught in a hole and was bent right back. My finger didn't break but it swelled up and was very sore. I can't quite close my finger and i was wondering if it will go down to its original size...
if anyone can tell me
thanks

I did the same to my thumb last year (unfortunately I had absolutely no idea how it happened, i was drunk). After about 4 days it was still swollen and I couldn't use it so I phoned NHS Direct who advised me to go to our local 'Walk In' centre who gave me an xray. It wasn't broken, they just strapped it up and advised that it was going to be swollen for a while.
The swelling went comletely after about 2 weeks but it still hurt for a good few months after.
