Hello,i have a big fear of public speaking and i have some presentations coming up in a few months. I'm dreading doing them, but i have heard that hypnotherapy was useful to help overcome this. Was wondering if their was anybody on here who has actually overcome this problem themselves with hypnotherapy or other things??.............and also if theres any good websites in which you could reccommend that deal in hypnotherapy to cure such things!! Thanks in advance!!

They really do work as I have listened to them and now it just comes natural to me and I just do a top up listen now and then. If you go on his website there all there. You can do it !!! x
Yes absolutely - gentle hypnosis will help you to relax and also to envisage yourself doing a brilliant presentation, which when it really happens will empower you to deliver well and confidently. Look for a hypnotherapist in your area, and expect to pay between �30 - �60 per hourly session. Anything more and they are taking you for a ride. A course of 3 or 4 sessions should be enough. Always check out their qualifications first as well and its always better if they have additional qualifications in psychotherapy/counselling/CBT as well. As a longer term project, if you think you are going to have to do regular "stand up and speak" sessions or presentations, try to find an Adult Education course in Public Speaking. It will seem a little daunting at first, but being with a group of people who are all suffering from the same nervous problem of speaking will give you moral support. You will be given short speaking exercises to do - often like standing up and talking in front of everybody for just one minute on a certain topic, but over time your nerves will gradually disappear as you become more confident and learn techniques to help you relax and control your breathing. Meanwhile, try practising on your own at home, or with your family. It may seem a little daunting at first, but family or friends can point out to you any obvious flaws or mannerisms of which you were unaware and it's better to try and overcome these in advance if possible.
