i'm going abroad in july and thought about getting some of these. i had a DVT in my leg 8 years ago and worry constantly that i will get another. i just wondered if anyone had suffered a DVT and then gone on to use flight socks? also, are they tight? i worry when my legs feel tight.

I've had 3 DVT's in my leg so got some flight socks for when we went to the US. They did feel very tight but I think they're meant to, the main thing that worried me was at the top of them, where they sit just under your knee, they were so tight I could imagine them doing more harm than good. Sorry if this hasn't helped but if you do want to buy some they are 3.99 in Aldi at the moment.
I bought some for a recent long plane journey after a friend contracted DVT. I found them tighter than ordinary socks but not uncomfortably tight, more supportive, and after a short while I forgot I was wearing them at all

thanks for the answer, thats just what i meant! if they are so tight the idea they are doing more harm even though you know they are not. which is why i don't know if i'd prefer to not use them and just keep my feet moving. least i've booked an ailse seat. Poor you, 3? you must stress more than me!
