cysts on cervix
5 Answers
i has got me one of these girly medical questions that isnt generally a topic of conversation!!! a few mths back at a smear test i was told that i have a couple of white cysts at the opening of my cervix, nurse said that they would be tested but i would most probably need my coil changed incase there was infection. apparently the results came back clear(thank god as i fully sh*t myself as my mother has had cervical cancer, ovarian cancer etc young) (i am 28) but i often get discomfort in what i would call my womb area like a period pain dull ache tho i havnt had a period for quite a while as i have mirena coil. also having a problem feeling clean down below and constantly feel like i need to wash myself as there is an odour, im thinking this is obviously cyst related but want to know has anyone ever had this experience etc??

Some information here, they only cause problems when infected and they flare up, causing pain and swelling. I have a very small one.

i cant remember what they are called as i went into what seemed like a blur at the moment she mentioned it, the usual ' will i have time to have more kids (have 2 already but know i will prob want 1 more), will i end up with cancer like my mum' etc the usual fears when you have seen what it does to someone but she showed me on a medical poster what they looked like, not pretty, and i just feel like they are causing all these problems. i am a scrupulously clean person shower in morning bath at nite with the kids but even after the bath i still dont feel clean 'there'!! also there is discharge which i can only describe (sorry to be so blatant!!) as a sneeze from the girlie bits!! oh the humiliation!!! anyway all help appreciated..
Your not on your own chick. I suffer from exatley the same problem with the coil. And the smell can only be described as a dead rat (to be blunt) they have gave me tablets for this but they dont seem to work..
The smell and discharge is worse during ovulation as this is when the PH balance changes within you body fluids. If your discharge is very acid lick just use Jhonsons baby PH balanced wipes. I find they help me loads.
Try not to feel embarrsed asking questions like that hun, there is always somone with the same problem, and for those who think it is a disguisting subject to post well they need to give their head a shake.
Good luck hun, and you keep pestering your practice nurse when it is at is worse.
