I am currently suffering from what I think is (Adult) Slapped Cheek Virus (or Parvovirus). Nearly every joint in my body aches and my hands are swollen. I haven't got a rash yet but I I feel about 100 years old. Has anyone else had it? How long did you take to get better. I've read that the after effects (ie, arthritis) can last up to 2 years.

Many conditions present with the symptoms that you have described, Parvovirus being of course on of them. You need to contact your GP to get the diagnosis confirmed.
If you have already had it confirmed, then ignore my reply.

Went to the doctors yesterday - yes, it's a virus, not serious if I'm not being sick (wow, thanks). Said if I was still bad in a week to go back and he'd do blood tests. What else could it be? I haven't had a rash yet and have been ill for nearly 2 weeks!
Your problem is called polyarthritis and the causes are many. I would suggest that you Google acute polyarthritis, but not sure that you would be any the wiser. Your Dr. seem to have the situation under control and the final diagnosis will depend upon a battery of blood tests.
