Electric Shock Collars banned in Wales

Not a question as such but I thought people may like to know that Electric Shock Collars have just been banned in Wales. This announcement is on the Kennel Club site: http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/1895/23/2 44/3

Seems like the Welsh are leading the way!

Apparently England are waiting until the researchers come up with their results in 2010! I can't believe it. Does it need research - it is clearly cruel. If it isn't then we would be using it on our children!

What?! No way! As if it even needs research. Like you say Lottie, if it was humane, then wouldn't it be used on children much like walking reins are?

I cant believe they have ever been legal, what a horrible idea!
I dont know why some people get dogs when they just want to bully them into submission rather then putting effort into teaching a dog manners in a kind fun way

I'm glad, too. If someone can't train their dog without resorting to cruel methods like this, then they shouldn't have a dog!
