Does the production of eyelashes slow down as you get old? I've seen so many people in their 80's where they either have no eyelashes or very few left

Yes, they do seem to stop growing in a lot of people.

Never noticed eyelashes that much, but I see my eyebrows are starting to thin out...

maybe they just lose colour like the other hair and we dont notice them?

The lashes are there but not mascarad up......heavy mascara makes the eyes feel sleepy and you just zonk off zzzzzzzzzz
