Pain in middle of chest after sleeping
3 Answers
Hi all,
For the past couple of weeks, I have been waking up with a muscular feeling pain in the middle of my chest. I have done a bit of Googling and it sounds like I have got inflammation of the area where the rib cage meets the sternum. But they suggest that this is after some sort of trauma or infection. I did have an upper respiratory tract infection at the beginning of August, but this doesn't tie in with when the pain started around 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure whether I sleep on my front, but it feels like it's something I'm doing whilst alseep which is causing the problem. I wear a 32E / 30F bra on a size 10 frame, so was wondering if it's the weight of these that could be contributing. I will make an appointment with my Doctor, as I understand any chest pain needs looking at. But it doesn't feel like anything to do with my heart, so nothing serious. Any suggestions?

I've been professionally measured for my bra size, so I know it's not that. I meant that as they're fairly large on quite a small frame, the weight of them could be contributing to the problem. Although I think this would have caused more back pain, rather than chest. Just a suggestion...
