Hi Twinkle, are you coughing a lot?
Question Author
Hi Sachs
No nothing. I havent had any other side effects apart from my ribs. I dont feel ill or anything either. strange........
i gave up smoking and felt similar but due to coughing. you can ache and hurt due to the toxins and poisons in your system............. however i would advise you see your GP and get checked out, to be safe
I don't know tha answer to your question twinkle but wanted to post that i wish you VERY GOOD LUCK with giving up smoking. You can do it. Well done for doing it since saturday so far!

Thank you so much evedawn that is really kind of you. I think I have been really lucky, I just realised Sunday lunchtime that I hadnt had a cigarette since Saturday and I really just havent wanted one since and I have smoked for 10 years. infact the thought of one and what it would do to my body makes me feel sick. I just wish it was like this for everyone, I feel very lucky!
Im going to get myself checked out at the doctors though as suggested by a-hen-86 just to be on the safe side cause my ribs are getting worse as I speak

Well done :)

Get it checked out just in case.

Some of my ribs often pop out of place randomly which causes me a lot of pain.
im glad your going to see you GP i did it with champix and have stayed off the cigs for over a year now, it gets easier and proud of you for sticking to it. it isnt a very easy thing to do and if you need support and any tips i can give please post an answer and ill keep checking and help as much as i can. keeeeep it up hun x

you to hun if you have any cravings put a bar of chocolate in the freezer and every time you hvae a pang take a piece and suk it, will take the craving away or at least it did for me
I gave up a few years back for 6 months and never had any symptoms. I started again unfortunatly but am now giving up again
4getmenot why dont you give Champix a go, it removes the receptors in your brain that tell you that you need nicotine.
all you need to do is take a tablet once a day for the first 4 days then twice daily therafter. its good stuff. it is what i stopped on and have been off em over a year now. all you need to do is go to see your GP and they will send you to the smoking sessation nurse.

GOOD LUCK!
