Digistat RF3 Wirelss Heating System

Ive recently moved home and the heating system is a DRAYTON Digistat RF3 Wireless System .... Ive managed to find instructions on the internet on how to program the heating but there is nothing mentioned about setting the timer to "turn off".

Does anyone have one of these systems or am I going berserk. From the way I read it the heating will come on when set and heat the room to the required temp. Does it then just stay on continously and should the room temp drop below this temp - it then comes back on again.

I only want it to come on in the morning before work and go off as we leave ... followed by coming on for an hour before we arrive home from work, etc!

hi tgm they're all a bit confusing nowadays! basically your off settings are now known as economy settings ie they are still on settings but with the temperature turned down so in your case for example you want heating on from 7am to 9am then on again at say 4pm till 1030 then you would program
1) 7am heating on at say 20 degrees then to get your off time you would program
2) heating at 9am say 7 degrees then
3) heating at 4pm say 20 degrees then
(the moon sign)heating at 1030 say 7 degrees

so in this example step 2 is basically an off time (unless temp drops below 7 degrees

Thanks for that - Im just a bit worried about even having it on low due to monthly bills. Suppose its not going to do that much damage!!

Do you have one of these yourself - hence knowing so much?

glad to help dont worry about your bills just set a temp low enough that the heating has no chance of coming on

I have one of these systems too and the red 'error' light is on permanently. Have tried the advice in the instructions but it seems the 2 control units are not talking to each other. Don't want to pay out �70 to replace the whole system. Have replaced batteries etc. Any ideas??? One thing I did notice is the batteries move around a bit in their compartment, but the display is illuminated. Could this be anything to do with it. My heating is on permanent override!!
Would be very grateful for any advice.

Mine was the same but I managed to sort it until Dad put it on OVERIDE at the weekend ... as soon as Ive re-fathomed it out I will reply back!! Its simple to do - I just forgot.

sorry posted before I finished! instructions to reset it are in the manual make sure you follow them to the letter regarding the sequence of closing the battery drawers
