Does any one know the symptons

of tonsolitis ?
Is it just a sore throat ?

That can be a symptom of tonsillitis, but not a particularly definitive one. A visit to your local GP would be recommended, but you may also find this link of help;

Sore throad and swollen glands normally accompanied with a headache/fever

Tonsilittis often follows a cold and can develop into quinsy which is very painful.
Tonsillitis on it's own would not have runny nose etc. If you get runny nose it is a cold.
Sucking sweets might relieve symptoms.
I'm not qualified but have had tonsillitis.

Should have said that the tonsils are either side of the throat but a quinsy usually affects just one.
DON'T go to Doc if it's a cold. It's a virus and anti biotics won't help.

with Tonsilitis the back of the throat is coated white and you would see this, there is an evil throat virus arond just now and its not tonsilitis

Symptoms.....sore throat, difficulty and pain on swallowing, perhaps earache, hot, sweaty, loss of energy and joint pains....maybe.

tonsolitis is serious affects throat and ears!!!
