But I did try Marigold and Chickweed (sounds nice ahh?) healing ointment and it's stayed away and I just used it now if my skin doesn't feel/look normal.
Different things seem to suit different people though. My friend uses bio oil which he says relieves the itch but not for me.
Good Luck

pudditcat - try using oatmeal - its brilliant - put some in a muslin bag and suspend it under the bath taps - i had an unbelieveable reaction to something or other -red weals, itchy, bring the gun and i'll shoot myslef - remembered Mummy's teachings and used the porrige oats -mixed some with water and soaked hands in it -only thing that worked - have had chemo so am reluctant to use much that isn't natural - keep me posted! go well
I got some eumovate from over the counter as it's been great though i only get little patches so only use it sparingly, may be different if you need to use it on larger patches.
Just checked though and it is a steroid but don't think it's as strong as betnovate with is prescription only...

Have you tried aloe vera gel, I find it really soothing. There is an aftersun one by Banana Boat I have and it's great.
