My daughter is is backpacking for twelve months next year starting off in South Africa (Cape Town and Johannesburg) then onto Asia starting at Singapore, then unfortunately not sure where in Asia after that, maybe Vietnam, then onto Australia and Newszealand ending up in America (Chicago), she will need injections can you tell me which ones.

She should go and see her GP, that's a lot of countries to cover.  Bear in mind that many asian countries have some rare diseases so she'll need to tell the GP exactly which countries she's travelling in.

You'll also need to be able to tell them what you intend to do - eg stay in touristy bits, walk/trek in jungles etc, work,...... 

 

I set off in two weeks to do a similar 12 months and had injections/tabletss for.....

Polio, Tetanus, Diptheria, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Hep A, Hep B (not req but advised as most medical instruements would carry this if you were ever in an accident) & have to take malaria tablets in most of Asia and some of south america.
