Pants on the NHS
8 Answers
Does anyone know if Incontinence pants can be obtained on the NHS? I think the Tena type ones would be ideal for my mother, but they are almost 40 for just over a month's supply.

Phone your GP surgery or District Nurse and ask if there is a Continence Service in your area. If you do not get any joy there, try the yellow pages or your local health authority again for a Continence Service. They are the people who can assess what's best and arrange for supply.
Goos luck.

Velvetee. If your mother's GP agrees that she has urinary incontinence, he can arrange for the pads to be supplied free of charge. They are normally delivered directly to the house on a monthly basis. At least this is what happened when my friend who lived with us experienced the same problem (sadly, she is now deceased). The type supplied were waterproof backed pads which were held in place with net type knickers. Suggest you contact your mother's GP for further advice. Hope this helps. Schutz.
Yep here too my dad has them delievered to him when he runs out he phones and they just come out with a new supply. They are free but I'm not sure how the arrangement came about I know he doesn't get a prescription though
But these are like all in one pants but he has them as he has been constantly bleeding and leaking form both ends after extensive treatment for prostrate cancer so might be abit different.
