how long does the flu last for?

Ive had the flu for 4 days now and wonderd how long it lasts. is there any foods that help the symptons?

I had it in January and it seemed to last about 10 days, or so.
Plenty of hot drinks, a few pain killers, and bed is the answer.

i always thought 2 weeks (sorry), drink plenty of fluids and use it as an excuse to eat whatever you fancy.

I'd agree with 2 weeks but dont expect to get fully back to normal for another 2 weeks after that
