Can anyone help. Was given anti inflammatory pills , the course of which I have finished. Although the surge of pain is no longer there when I stand up i can still feel the coccyx sore.

i think it was between 20 and 25, but well worth the money. i got mine from a very good shop near us which sells all sorts of mobility aids and things for disabled people, so if you have one of those type of shops near you, i'd start there.
if you google 'coccyx cushion' you'll come up with a lot of sites selling them too, and advice on how to make your own, but my advice would be to go and try them first as there are a number of different ones (wedge shaped, different density foam, memory foam, solid) and you need to find one that is comfortable for you. i didn't like the wedge shaped ones, or the solid ones.
