Hello all, got this reply from the nursery manager today about my daughters care:
"Dear Kate,
Thank you for the information that you provided me with in relation to Nancy.
I must say that I was indeed very concerned about the issues that you correctly raised and I am taking the matter seriously, and I have investigated who Nancy was with on the days that you mentioned these things happened. I had a day off on Monday and on Friday so I was not present in the nursery at the time. There were senior staff working on those days however they were present in other rooms.
I have spoken to ***** who is the baby room leader and she confirmed that she was not in the nursery on Monday as it was her day off but the person who was with Nancy has seen your e mail and realises that this must not happen again.
I will be speaking to the person who was with Nancy on the Friday and again this will not happen again. I am deeply sorry that Nancy was sent home in such a state and I can assure you that this is not the way that I expect my nursery staff to carry out their duties.
I would be grateful if you could indeed provide me with any details relating to Nancy and her diet.
Please accept my sincere apologies and I thank you for bringing this situation to my attention.
Kind regards ******"
I am still going to monitor them carefully, I hope that things improve but if they don't I'll have to find somewhere else. Thanks again for all your previous replies!

Will you be having a face to face meeting with the manager? Perhaps you should and also reiterate how distressing you found the situation, so much so, you were considering making a complaint to Ofsted.

Morning!
I will see the manager at some point, not in a formal meeting, but we quite often see each other around the college/nursery so I will have a chat with her about this.
Good idea about the diary Kathy, the nursery provide a notebook which tells me what Nancy's done and eaten etc so I'll keep note of anything else that happens so that I've got dates/times, although hopefully it won't!
I'm going to give them 6 weeks - this is when we break for the summer, so although that seems like a long time it's only 12 days for Nancy.
I think and hope that all the problems were related to staffing issues -Nancy's key worker has just gone on maternity leave, another girl had a holiday booked - not that I'm excusing them, but hopefully things will settle down now.
