salty taste and salty body

My mum has a chest infection she is seeing the doctor and he has perscribed Ciprofloxcin 500g she has a very salty taste in her mouth and her saliva is full of salt also her body is very salty. can you help. She is 83

at a rough guess I'd say she has too much sodium chloride in her diet! The main cause if this is the salt cellar, people who hate food use them!
