I've done it again!

I had an appointment at the breast screening clinic again this morning, I went about 18 months ago but didn;t go ahead with it as it was in a mobile unit and having never been before I expected a consultation before hand , ended up leaving!
Anyway, I went again this morning, this time to the specialist clinic and got as far as the actual machine, but totally lost it and they said they couldn't carry on as I was too tense and then I fainted : (
I felt bad for wasting their time, I know it's daft, I'm really tough with most things. what is up with me and what can i do to get throught it?
I rang my GP and the nurse did not get back to me . I know all the reasons it needs to be done, why won't I let it get done????

Dot - I would say it is more uncomfortable than hurts.
The positioning of the boob on the machine takes only a few seconds and the actual xray is over in the blink of an eye.

I would rather have a mammogram than go to the dentist !!

my first time was the last time.....haven't had mamos for over 25y! I dont look for lumps & bumps either nor have internals. All in the lap of the gods......could be run over by a bus 2moro, with bus pass in hand!

I went for my mamagram this pm and it didn't hurt at all. I would say it was uncomfy for a second or two but soom over. I was out before my appointment time!! Chin up Dot . Make another appointment.
