I mainly wondered what properties blister plasters had, which'd supposedly make them heal more quickly. They're probably just thicker than ordinary pasters then, to prevent further rubbing against the skin, as squad said.
Not sure what to think about other wounds. I'm sure that plasters/dressings/bandages'd be beneficial to some, to prevent dirt and infection getting in.
Two operation sites identical in postion e.g the neck, one with a dressing and one without. The infection rate is slightly higher in the one with a dressing on.
Wow! Thank you again.
It's set me off now, wondering if the reason for this, is that perhaps the dressings hadn't been changed often enough, allowing for the sites to become infected?
Very interesting.
