It's hard work. A real shock to the system, always been used to getting 9+ hours sleep every night, now I'm lucky if I get a couple of hours here and there.
My partner did take baby out for a few hours yesterday afternoon, so I slept until 9.30pm, which was nice. He's been asleep on me for ages and I'd like to go to bed, I know when I put him in his Moses Basket, he'll not want to stay there.
I slept with one of my babies....I had no choice. If I put him down he screamed. He wouldn't let anyone else pick him up either and that started when he was about 4 or 5 weeks.
You'll be OK Velvetee......this stage doesn't last long. Although it does feel like it at the time.
morning velvetee and tambo - this brings back memories of when my son was born 19 years ago - he never slept at night and only slept during the day if I put him in the pram and walked into town with him. As soon as I got home, he starting screaming again. I used to put a sign in my porch window if he did have the occasional nap - 'Please do not ring doorbell, BABY ASLEEP - MUM KNACKERED'.
ha ha ha
I agree with what others have said - you get your head down for a nap when he is sleeping and sod the housework.
It will get better - when he starts work .......................L0L
