If you use a toe spacer do they sort it out - if not I am going to make my doctor put me forward for surgery right now.

Sorry - had to laugh at Chris's remark.
Anyway devilspawn, if you need surgery, the results are pretty good. I know two people who've had bunions removed, and they both had pins put into their feet to straighten the toes. This's had no detrimental effect, and if it removed the pain, then it can only be a good thing.
