wierd periods

by wierd i mean, all over the place, i just dont know when im ovulating???? (which is no good as im trying for a baby) had 2 periods last month and this months was late and the heaveyist ive ever seen it. im just starting to get worried, as i have quite bad pain in my tummy at times,, not all the time and not nessiserally when im having a period, ,,,,should i ask for a smear or just go to the docs to be checked out. i just keep putting it off so need some advice. (sorry bout the bad spelling) xx

Kitten, go to your doctor asap. You may just need a D & C op to make your periods return to normal, but you may also have fibroids or an infection.
You can buy ovulation home-testing kits, but personally, i think you'd be best to forget about trying to get pregnant whilst you're suffering as you are.
I'm sure you'll find that it can easily be put right, but the longer you leave it, the worse a condition can become. Also, some forms of IUD's can cause heavy bleeding and pain at first. Best of luck. x
If you've recently come off the pill it'll take a while to get to 'normal'. I used to notice a pain at times and realised it was when I was ovulating.
A check-up at the doctor's wouldn't be a bad idea to put your mind at rest.
