My friend got in a bit of a fight tonight. One thing led to another and she had a lip stud ripped out and her actual lip looked like it was in half. There was blood everywhere. She got taken to hospital but i wasnt with her and i havent heard anything else. what treatment do you think she'll get? im guessing stitches? but do you think she'll need an operation? if she does need stitches how long do you think she'll need them? either way how is this going to effect her long term? any information will be greatly apprecticated.

please only sensible answers thanks

Almost certainly she will need stitches.

Stitches will probably be soluble and will stay in and dissolve themselves between 5-7days.

May be a small scar, but at the same time, there maybe nothing to see.
A similar post came up yesterday about scarring.

Rosehip Oil, I believe, is good for the prevention of scars.

Here is the same link i provided yesterday.

I have to add, I'm no expert in this area, just happy to give another option.
