Morning Windy - I know its hard but try not to worry - I had similar experience 12 years ago - I was examined by a hospital consultant and was sent for an urgent scan the same day - it turned out to be a fibroid (non cancerous).

The 'period type pains' could also be Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Its human nature to worry ourselves sick when sent for an 'urgent' something or other, but its good that your GP has acted so quickly.

I wish you well Windy - let us know how you get on.

Thanks very much for your post, Den. It has made me feel better about it, still got butterflies in my stomach though.

Den, did this happen after you had finished your periods?

I am so pleased it turned out well for you. x
I've had a little bit of input on your thread, hope it's of some use.
windy....just got back from snooker.

Can't add any more at the moment to what China said in her two comprehensive posts.

This is a situation where you have to "sweat it out" until the investigations come to hand.
