coming off fluoxetine

Have been on fluoxetine for 10 days for treatment of panic/anxiety dsorder,but want to try to get better without drugs. Given that it takes 2-4 weeks for the drug to kick in,is it safe to come off it,or does anybody have a similar experience to share

If you really think you don't need to taken them, gradually reduce the dose. Take half a tablet for a few days and then a quarter before you finally stop. Exercise is great to lift the mood and so is talking, a problem shared is a problem halved and all that.
Talk to your doctor first. You could be feeling more able to cope without drugs precisely because they have started to work.
