What to do with a bulbous stump....

Got my chrimbo tree at the weekend - a real one, obviously.

What a palava with the trimming & fitting into the base. The stump was really bulbous & nobbly and I almost severed my thumb with the breadknife trying to saw the nobbles off (I'm a girl - so don't have the correct tools).

But, thanks to perseverance (& a little help from undisclosed quarters) it is now erect, snug & twinkling appropriately. I feel very festive now - albeit with a sore thumb.

What's yours - real, tinsel, optic?

Morning All - it definately was not Out of Africa !! I loved that film and the music - it makes me cry everytime I watch it. Loved Meryl Streeps' South African accent in it.
