KM Links Game - January week 2 results

Good morning everyone - having seen a satellite photo of the UK on the news showing the entire country a solid white, I guess there's not much point in asking if things are any better, but so long as you'll all keeping warm and have a good book or knitting or something similar, and it's a case of waiting it out. Luckily, there's some indication that our frying spell may be coming to a close, fingers crossed, anyway.

As you can all see, this posting is a little later than the Saturday morning posting - I hope this doesn't present too many problems, but I'll endeavour to have it all done by about 7.30am.

And before we get down to it - some of you may not be aware that I post the shaded questions from each Saturday's crossword about 3 - 4 hours before the game begins at 7.00am. This is intended to help out those who don't get an early paper and is usually only 1 or 2 posts before the main one and quite frequebtly has quite a bearing on the subsequent matches - anyone who entered Emperor Penguin might now realise the thinking behind this.

Now to the matches -

It's quite easy to understand why Sun Light had no takers whatsoever - you've all forgotten what it looks like and I've seen enough of it recently to last till next summer, but all the others weren't really all that popular so it was a pretty quiet time with the second-hand abacus - the Elephant Shrew has 6 takers, Tour Operator had 6 and Emperor Moth had 8 - a grand total of 23 points distributed !!! oh dear.

Three entries were fortunate to score 3 points for their two correct matches - WICKEDTONGUE, ECCLES & SEEKEERZ, while a further 14 entrants added a point to their tally.

Well 2 weeks and still Zero points :-((( Have to try harder next week. That's if I manage to get on line, we're babysitting in London next week so may not manage to enter.
