I had a stroke a month ago and have been perscribed dispersible asprin 75mg by the hospital, I have been swallowing the tablet whole and washing down with water, since doing this for a week I have been getting very bad gut pains, which the doctor tells me is nothing, I am not taking any other medication (apart from paracetamol when the pain gets very bad) Could it be the asprin? I'm worried as it's been 3 weeks of daily pain and no-one seems to take me seriously....
Isn't dispersible aspirin meant to be disolved in water which you then drink? Surely it's fizzing up in your stomach and producing a lot of gas if you are swallowing it whole?
