my grandson has become very pale these last 4 weeks, he has had a cold but nothing serious but looks ill as his colour has not returned to normal, could this be something to be concerned about?

how's his behaviour? is he eating, sleeping and drinking normally? I'd suggest he was just a bit run down but if he seems unwell someone should get him to a doctor for a once-over.

Thank you, i will suggest this to his parents. thanks again
I think once he starts getting outdoors now the weather is getting brighter, I am sure his lovely healthy colour will return. I think we all look a bit washed out at the moment.

A quick check up at the docs would'nt go amiss though.
I would be inclinded to agree with Den - we were saying the exact same thing about my niece and nephew last week and the difference in them this week having been out and about and enjoying the bright weather at the weekend is great (they both had bug/cold about 3 weeks ago). Of course with children if you are worried you should get it checked out. Good luck!

Thanks for your answers every one, much appreciated.
We took two of the grandkids to Warwick Castle on Sunday and the weather was lovely & sunny. Everybody came home with lovely colour in their cheeks and we'd all been out in the fresh air
My cousin has been concerning herself over the same issue with her 10 yr old son... and he looks very pale too!

Maybe its a 'post-cold' viral/winter paleness thing!

If he is eating fruit and veg and sleeping well and getting plenty of exercise and no aches and pains - I wouldnt worry too much!
