My baby ducklings have arrived

Awww. Mummy duck has visited for 2 weeks now with her new brood.. seven ducklings to start with... but one of them kept wondering off... and must have wondered too far as I saw it swim in the wrong direction.... Never found Mum again as the next time I saw her she only had six babies.... Poor thing! Did get out my net to try and catch him if I saw him again.. but I didnt!

So.. now being visited by 6 very fast growing babies... who are very sweet!

the main topic on the old tip where I walk Max is when the new cygnets are will arrive, we know they should hatch in 40-42 days but nobody agrees as to when they actually started sitting the eggs so it could be any time in the next 10-15 days

Evening all. I think baby ducklings are gorgeous - my friends have just hatched out - dear little things! Have you got any photos of them yet Nosha?

I can't eat duck anymore after making friends with some! Pathetic, I know! And I'm moving to the countryside shortly, so imagine that I will be embracing vegetarianism shortly afterwards! (hopefully wont get too attached to plants etc. - then I will be in a pickle!)
