I have had my worst migraine ever over the last few days. My question is - why do some people
suffer from migraines - whats happening inside ? I know some people have triggers like chocolate
or cheese - mine seems to be stress but several days after the event. Why ?

My husband is still looking for a definite trigger for his migraines. Lack of sleep and dehydraton seem to play a big part for him so he's been suffering during this hot spell as he keeps forgettng he needs to drink a lot more than usual and doesn't sleep well when it's warm.
He finds a 'Chillow' very soothing to use when he has a mgraine -

Glad your feeling a bit better Peri - I think there are many causes of migraine and it differs from person to person. Mr. Den gets them a lot lately -he can go about a month with nothing and then bam he will have 2 or 3 on and off for 1 to 2 weeks.
I also get them, sometimes with the flashing lights, but other times just a dizzy feeling comes on. Then the horrible headache. Mine are definately hormonal though - even though having a hysterectomy 13 years ago, I am still in menopause mode and get migraines certain times of the month. Very strange.
