dodgy knee

over the last couple of weeks my left knee has been playing me up.. It has been first thing in the morning although not every morning, when i get out of bed, it feels as though someone has put a nail into the side of my kneecap.and i can hardly put any weight on that leg.. after a minute or so the pain easies and it feels bruised for a few hours afterwards..what could this be and should i go to the docs?

You give no idea as to your age so difficult to diagnose.
Could be many things depending many factors.
See your GP

Hi Sqad, i'm 57 and i work in machine maintenace, i have to kneel quite alot in my job too, which is worrying when my knees like this because i worry it will go and i won't be able to get back up..

Not nice sammmo. My friend, a carpet fitter, had to change jobs in his late 20's because of his knees.

I'd get to the GP if I was you....even if the just give you support for it.

Know how you feel sammo. Get to the Docs, you may need a scan and therepy like I had. I even had acupuncture on the NHS which helped

I will make an appointment today.. so with a bit of luck I might be able to see a doctor by the end of august..

sammo ........right.......still could be anything, but try Ibuprofen 600mgms last thing at night.
If that sorts you out.....fine, if not, then you will need further investigation.
