The worst thing about holidays is coming back to work.

Ok ok, I know I'm lucky to have a job, and a job I sort of like, not bad pay or conditions, flexi-time & nice work colleagues. But, the first week back after a long break is teeeeeeeedious. I am falling asleep here - not having even glanced at any sort of screen for 2+ weeks. Bored, tired, dry eyes, restless, numb bum, stifled....

Anyone want to run away to sea with me?

Vietnam? That's a bit far - I've only been a sailor(ess) for just under 4 years - I can only do the solent, the channel, the irish sea, the south coast or parts of France.

we've not been but have friends who have, and we're going there next may/june/july all being well. have been looking into it and it really does seem like an idyllic place. anything at all you'd care to share about it - nicest places to stay, things not to miss, etc.??
