Never heard the term as a definitive diagnosis.

I would suggest that it means wear and tear of one or more of the "facets" of the spine.

In other words.......no big deal.

Anyone tried duct tape as a means of removing warts?

Vagrant, I have heard that it works well - google it, you will find several sites. However - I used wart pads on a long-standing blemish on my arm and the sticky fixing burned my arm. There is a risk of damage to the surrounding skin by long term use of duct tape, it's a very heavy-duty adhesive.
