It's a Maytag, I've had for about 21 months. I had a repair man replace the heat coil as result of a recall due to reports of fires! Ever since, it seems like the water doesn't even spray from the bottom spin arm and my glasses are permanently clouded...They feel gritty, even after scouring them by hand with and SOS pad. Help! =)

Take the bottom spray arm out, clean it and refit it.

they are an easy part to remove as you are meant to clean them occasionally.
Etching occurs due to a combination of temperature and dishwasher powder. It is possible the temperature exposed to the glasses is now higher, or have you changed the powder.
Try using a less-aggressive powder.
You will never remove the etching on the existing glasses.
lead crystal glasses are particulary prone to etching by dishwasher chemicals.
