Impingement Syndrome
5 Answers
My Doctor thinks I may be suffering from this in my shoulder and has told me I may have to have a MRI scan if this latest cortisone injection doesnt work! I had the inj two weeks ago and still no relief.
Has anyone else suffered with this and what treatments are available? I don't fancy an operation! Thanks

The site states that, while 50% of such cases may require surgery, keyhole techniques may well be applicable (making it a relatively minor op).

I have an impingement in my hip and had a scan as well. I'm having keyhole surgery in feb and doc is going to have not a look and then shave off the bumpy bit... I don't think it's major operation from his point of view but I will have to have some physiotherapy afterwards and I could be off work for six weeks, (but maybe not, depends how I do).
