If you have been diagnosed recently with DVT and are now getting chest pains you really should see your GP as soon as you can.

the thing is ive been getting the chest pain for 3 years on and off as long as ive had the dvt and the hospital did tests when i got given the fragmin like ultrasound chest xrays etc they said it was just two clots stuck on the wall of my vein.and as long as i take the fragmin they said theres no risk of emboluos
My husband has had dvt in his leg for the last 3 months and was told if he started getting pains in the chest to go straight to A&E as if the clot moves it could cause his lungs to collapse. If you have any difficulty breathing you should go immediately.
4 months after a DVT cannot produce a pulmonary embolism, so your chest pain cannot be due to that. Another DVT and a pulmonary embolism is not a starter as you are on Fragmin and your leg is not swollen.

The chest pains do not seem to be significant and almost certainly muscular in origin.

The feet being cold is against a DVT.

No I dont think that there is anything sinister in your symptoms ayresy, but monitor the situation and keep us informed.

i dont have trouble breathing at all no pain when i take a deep breath drs have said that its unlikely to be emboulous as ive had it so long is this right

thanks squad thats made me feel a lot better im due to see doc in a week so ill mention it then thanks again
Wouldn't feet being cold be due to the blood thinning drug. Mr LL's feet are continuously cold these days. Are you taking any Statins ayresy. they can give you muscular pains and twinges. I am not medically trained, but have become aware of such things because of Mr LL's heart attack and subsequent medication.
Thanks for that too sqad as I have still been worrying for him. Been telling him to go back to GP.

It is worrying .I know how you feel . You could just be anxious about all this .Keep your feet warm .Bedsocks !
I had a thing the year before last with a swollen leg and they gave me anti coag stuff They frighten you with this clot business . I spent several restless nights until I had the utltrasound and all clear.Hope you soon feel better .
