If in any doubt mention it to the District Nurse team , you should have a number. He may just be very aware of it and has been quite a trauma for him and you of course.
Never be afraid to ask.

honey it is extremely unlovely that he has disconnected a lead as this happens in about 1% of cases or less.

The insertion point will be sore for a period of time......probably 2-3 weeks after implantation.

If he gets dizziness or fainting attacks or even twitching of his arm, then they are symptoms suggestive of "something has come adrift"

No big deal at the moment...................and probably never will be.
sorry "unlikely"...........!!
so, you've woken up sqad.............good morn :)

He will have a card with the pacemaker details on it; you should make sure that this is kept in a safe place, because it will be needed whenever he has a pacemaker check. The card is approximately credit card size.

i think he has recieved one in the post.... the problem with dad is he wears different coats so really giving him a card is pretty useless especially as he dosent understand he needs to carry it with him everywhere he goes and the problem with his forgetfulness and confussion...
