Whisky and Osteoporosis

My elderly Mam enjoys about 3 whisky hot-toddies on a saturday night.She suffers from Osteoporosis and recently suffered back pain due to an old fracture.Can anyone tell me would the whisky exascerbate this condition or not?

I don't know the reason why and I can't give you a proper answer. All I know is that alcohol always makes my osteoarthritis worse and I too have borderline osteoprosis and an old back fracture. I rarely have a drink these days because of this. I don't think it would necessarily exascerbate the condition, but it certainly makes my joints hurt a lot more if I drink.
