Too embarrased...
3 Answers
On the advice of another ab user I've re-posted this question in this section... My little sister is too embarrassed to go to the doctor about this problem .. basically she gets a cutting scratching sensation when passing faeces, she's fifteen and eats pretty well for a teenager.. she gets enough fibre so it can't be constipation. Any ideas to put her mind at ease?

I've had a fissure and sounds similar. She had no need to be embarrassed going to the doctor, as others have said, they've seen it all before.
They prescribed a fantastic gel (Sheriproct) which numbs the area as well and provides a lot of relief.
If she has any other symptoms she should make sure she tells her doctor those as well. Are her bowels normal and does she have any pain in other areas or other symptoms?
