I wish more victims could lay their bullies out like this.
If the kid being bullied had actually killed that other kid, (it could really have gone horribly wrong), what good would that have done him in the long run?! Nothing... giving the other kid a good kicking back is one thing, this could have ended differently. I think some of the emotional knee jerk reactions of 'I was bullied too' actually need to consider from a different perspective, he could have ruined his life by his actions. I didn't fit in perfectly at school, my satisfaction is the life I have now.
People tried to bully me at secondary school, some succeeded, I've always been a difficult person to intimidate for a sustainable period fortunately. I agree that you could loose it in a moment, I'm not a violent person by nature but it's probably best not to push your luck, but while I'm all for the victim of bullying turning round and giving another child a damn good hiding, I really think that this fella was lucky he didn't give his bully a head injury. He needs help with his anger... the other kid needs a damn good kicking but not braining ;0)
As I said on the other thread about this earlier in the week, my own nephew is the lad's double and he suffered the same sort of bullting as my sister-in-law wanted him to stary in main stream education instead of the 'special' school. He had a similar reaction, it was not within his capabilities to control his reactions, no child should have to be left to handle it alone,

I've thankfully never been in this situation, but I was glad to see that the big kid was able to handle himself - I'm not saying that his actions were justified but they were entirely understandable, we don't know how much the other kid had been tormenting him. I have no sympathies for the smaller guy, he started it.
