Blood pressure tablets

Hi, Ive recently (last 6 weeks) been taking Amlodipine 5mg a day for blood pressure. It has reduced my BP to normal and (after a blood test) has not affected my kidney function.

However, Since taking them, i don't seem to get the urge for sex any more and on the odd occasion i do, i can't maintain an erection.

Is this normal ? I didn't want to pester the GP about it although i do have an appointment on 11th april...when i'll certainly mention it.

So i thought i'd ask you good people first.

Yes, this is a normal side effect of Amlodipine.
See you GP as he can help (not he himself ;-) with your erectile dysfunction.
