Don't know why this popped in my head, but I think I remember reading somewhere years ago that the Queen/King does not have to,but what about the others?
I mean,if you where the examiner, would you honestly have the guts to say "I'm sorry Prince/Princess so and so you have failed your test"?
Who knows what would happen to you.......

I remember years ago (probably in the 60's) that Prince Philip had a prang in his car. There was mass media coverage because his car was put on a low loader but was totally covered by tarpaulins. None could see the extent of the damage. Seems daft now.
Sent to the tower of course with the block being made ready for you to lay your delicate little neck. I have no patience at all with the so-called royals. How can anyone born into the human race be more royal than someone else.
Yes, but perhaps not the sovereign.

I personally don't like the Royals and all the privileges they get.It must bug others that are in the Army/Navy to see them come in and just get promoted all the time. And as for the night life behaviour, those poor bodyguards must be wondering what the heck!
Off to the tower with me!
There's nothing like a well-thought out argument.................and ^that is nothing like a well-thought out argument.
If it were a Rolls Royce that Philip was driving that is standard practice. RR did not like anyone to see their vehicles being towed or carried.
They all need driving licenses except for the Queen.
It is very probable there are a lot of people her age who never took a driving test, because there was a period during the war when provisional licence holders could convert to a full licence without sitting a test.
Jack - What argument? Who's arguing? Just stating an opinion.
I wasn't referring to you, Starbuck.
i would guess there is not a lot of need for the queen to drive - perhaps only on her private estate and you don't need a driving lisense for that
o.k. Jack, next time put a name and then I won't get mixed up.
The (^) is usually sufficient.

I take it you meant me.Am I not allowed to say what I think?I was not hoping to start an argument, but if you want and it makes you feel better feel free.I was just saying my thoughts.
Don't think anyone reading the thread would connect the remark with you Starbuck.
The idea of you penning anything but good sense is a non starter anyway.
Of course you can say what you think..................and I can say what I think, in turn.
Question Author
OK,so what did I say that you thought was 'nothing like a well thought argument 'if I was not arguing?
yes but they learn on private estates, so guess they take test privately too!
An argument, in this case, is a set of one or more meaningful declarative sentences (or "propositions") known as the premises along with another sentence known as the conclusion..............rather than a falling out or disagreement.

Jeepers jackthehat!
I would hate to be in a proper argument with you!In my opinion I was just giving my thoughts. If you want to think otherwise then that is your prerogative, but this was meant as a fun thread, not an argumentative one,so thanks for that.
William passes his test:

And Harry:

And Anne passed her HGV in 1974 so she could drive horse boxes.
If you are still here jack several people could have posted between you and your little sign, (which I haven't yet figured out how to do) and the person you are aiming your remark at, which is why I usually put a name.
seadogg, that's very nice of you. I like you too.♥
