Bad Breath_Tooth Removed?

 I just had a tooth removed(second from back top left) a little over a month ago. It was badly chipped and there was nosaving it. Since then, Ive gotten a horriable oder and my breath is so bad.. It is so embarrasing! I was told to get a syriange and salt water and rush the whole, but that has not worked, I have started to brush my teeth 6-8 times a day and in between have mints in my mouth but the smell is still there? What can it be and what can I do? Ive made a app with my dentist but its not for almost 2 weeks so I badly need help...Dont kow if this matters but Im 21, dont drink, non smoker, havent changed anything since having it removed?

It may be that you have food stuck in the socket, are you in any pain? I had a tooth out recently and was in agony (more than when I had the tooth in) and I hd something that is called dry socket which can also cause bad breath. try this site   http://dentalphobia.proboards27.com/ and post you question on there, a qualified dentist will answer

Maybe you could try using an antibacterial mouthwash, like Oraldene.  I have a terrible bout of tonsilitis which blistered up my throat and the back of my tongue, the doc coudn't give me antibiotics so advised me to use Oraldene.  It worked within a few days.

It's got to be worth a try!

When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I had problems and the dentist said she couldn't see anything wrong. In the end, another 2 or 3 weeks later I just got a pair of tweezers and discovered a large flake of tooth that was still in the gum cavity! Problem solved.

Perhaps you could get an immediate appointment with the dental hygienist for a flush and rummage?
