I've yet to encounter a good reason why determinism isn't inevitable. Although the quantum uncertainty principle is something to think about on the small scale stuff.
You think you have control, but the decisions you and other make, aren't they what you would have inevitably come up with given the circumstances at the time? Isn't that apparent control and potential to change your future path just an illusion?
Not saying someone/something has designed your experiences in advance, just that they were inevitable. Unless your favourite deity intervenes that is.
